SER Metro-Detroit Expands Rocket Wealth Accelerator to Strengthen Financial Stability Across Detroit
Detroit, MI 2/25/2025-SER Metro-Detroit Jobs for Progress, Inc is proud to continue its partnership with the Rocket Community Fund and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) to expand the Rocket Wealth Accelerator through its Center For Working Families in Detroit.
The initiative builds on SER Metro-Detroit’s ongoing commitment to helping Detroit residents achieve long-term economic stability through integrated financial coaching, workforce development, and supportive services. Through this partnership, SER has strengthened its capacity to deliver high-quality, personalized financial coaching while providing participants with incentives that encourage consistent savings and positive financial habits.
“Financial stability is a critical part of economic mobility,” said Eva Garza Dewaelsche. “The Rocket Wealth Accelerator allows us to meet participants where they are, provide practical tools and coaching, and help families build stronger financial foundations for the future.”
In the last three years, the impact of the program has been significant:
- 346 Detroit residents have engaged in financial coaching through the partnership
- 156 participants increased their savings
- Some participants saved more than $13,000, demonstrating meaningful progress toward long-term financial goals
The Rocket Wealth Accelerator supports participants in developing sustainable financial practices, improving savings behaviors, and building confidence in managing their financial futures. By combining financial coaching with incentives and wraparound support, the program helps individuals and families take measurable steps toward greater economic security.
