SER offers programs and services focused on helping the formerly incarcerated gain access to training and career services. Participants are assigned a dedicated Employment Specialist who helps match them to high-wage jobs. Further, they are given access to up to $1,000 in supportive services like clothing, driver’s license restoration, tools, etc.

Participants are also given referrals to barrier resolution services including record expungement, mental health and substance use treatment, counseling, support negotiating tickets, child support, childcare assistance and more.

This program is available to men or women 18+ years or older who are on probation, parole, or released from any correctional facility within the past 24 months.

Participants must reside in the City of Detroit or Wayne County address outside of Detroit.
